Highly respected scholar and researcher Dr. Riggins Earl will serve as a visiting professor at American Baptist College this fall. Earl will teach a master class on the life of the late Rev. C. T. Vivian, a staunch Civil Rights activist, Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient, and ABC alumnus who passed away July 17.

Jon Meacham will serve as a Visiting Professor at American Baptist College for the Fall 2020 Semester. Meacham, a presidential historian and award-winning biographer, will teach on the Life and Legacy of Congressman John Lewis. A contributing writer to The New York Times Book Review and a contributing editor to Time magazine, he is a Fellow of the Society of American Historians and chairs the Board of Trustees of the Thomas Jefferson Foundation at Monticello.
Distance Learning will be the modality of course delivery at American Baptist College (ABC) for the Fall 2020 semester. Classes will begin Monday, August 24, and the semester ends Friday, December 18, 2020. Distance learning means that courses will not be held in a face-to-face format on campus. Courses are, however, scheduled for specific dates and times so that faculty may design the learning environment to include synchronous lectures and discussions, with faculty and students available and interacting together at the scheduled time.
