The deadline to register to vote in the November election is Monday, October 5. Therefore, if you have not registered the time is now. American Baptist College will hold a Voter Registration Rally on Friday, October 2, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
“Now is the time to make our voices heard,” said Dr. Forrest E. Harris, Sr., President of American Baptist College. “Voting is still our best form of protest, let’s use it,” he added. Congressman John Lewis and Rev. C. T. Vivian, both graduates of ABC, died on July 17, 2002, and spent their lives fighting for all people to have the right to vote. “It was their life’s work, and we must continue the struggle in every way possible, stated President Harris.
