Transformative Global Leadership Conference

American Baptist College proudly co-sponsored the inaugural three-day Transformative Global Leadership Conference (September 5-7). The conference theme, “The Cross of The Diaspora: Shouldering the Charge to Lead in Faith and Justice,” was designed for Christian leaders, cultural critics, justice advocates, students, and people of faith within the African diaspora. Participants engaged with speakers and sessions that addressed challenges across culture, faith, and justice, and gained tools to activate solutions for both local and global communities.

Constitution Day

On Tuesday, September 17, American Baptist College observed Constitution Day and brought students, staff, alumni, and members of the community together to discuss “The Constitution and Justice” with a panel of local advocates — representatives from ACLU, the Equity Alliance, and the League of Women Voters, with additional participation from Black Voters Matter, NOAH, and the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations.
