Due to the health crisis associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus), the decision has been made to postpone the Garnett | Nabrit Lecture Series (GNL), including the ABC Day Rally at Beech Creek Baptist Church and the Nannie Helen Burroughs Scholarship Luncheon. The ABC Day Rally, scheduled for Sunday, March 15, the GNL lectures scheduled March 16-18 at American Baptist College, and the Nannie Helen Burroughs Scholarship Luncheon, scheduled for Wednesday, March 18 at 11:30 a.m. will be rescheduled at a later time.

“In an effort to adhere to all the warnings from health and government officials, it was important for the College to reschedule this major event to be proactive responsive to public health concerns and to prevent any health issues that might potentially occur.

This Garnett | Nabrit Lecture Series, including ABC Rally Day and the Nannie Helen Burroughs Scholarship Luncheon are significant annual events at American Baptist College. However, the safety of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests are paramount,” said Forrest E. Harris, Sr., President, American Baptist College.

During the postponement, the college will bring to life the GNL theme “Empowering Congregations to Heal Communities” through community collaboration, dialogue and educational events for students, as well as members of our Nashville community. As soon as possible the rescheduled date for GNL will be announced.
