Prof. Melanie Jones receives 2017 – 2018 Louisville Institute Fellowship

Congratulations to Prof. Melanie Jones on receiving a 2017-2018 Dissertation Fellowship from The Louisville Institute.

The Dissertation Fellowship (DF) program supports the final year Ph.D. or Th.D. dissertation writing for students engaged in research pertaining to North American Christianity. Prof. Jones is completing her Ph.D. from Chicago Theological Seminary in the area of Womanist Ethics. The title of her dissertation is “Up Against A Crooked Gospel: Black Women’s Bodies and the Politics of Character in Religion and Society.”

Prof. Jones has been teaching Religious Studies courses at ABC for the past five (5) years.
